BACK TO THE FUTURE and THE PRINCESS BRIDE Get Precious Moments Figures

We owe an apology to every mom, grandma, aunt, and sweet old lady whose devotion to collecting Precious Moments figurines we have ever questioned. Yeah, they’re adorable, but we just never quite understood why some people are totally obsessed with them. Until now. Because two of our all-time favorite movies have their very own statues, and these figures from Back to the Future and The Princess Bride would make our own home feel a lot more precious.

These hand-painted, officially licensed cinematic figurines, that we came across at Geekologie, are available from The Bradford Exchange. The first features a recreation of Doc Brown’s time-traveling DoLorean with Michael J. Fox’s Marty McFly stepping out in his iconic watch-checking pose from the original Back to the Future poster. The limited-edition collector’s item can be ordered for $99.99.

The Princess Bride figures will include four characters from the film so you can recreate more scenes from the movie. Westley the Dread Pirate will be the first figure available, and he’ll be followed by Princess Buttercup, Inigo Montoya (because there’s no moment more precious in movie history that a man obsessed with avenging his father’s death finally getting it), and Vizzini the Sicilian Mastermind. Each statue retails for $39.99.

We’re sorry for every doubting anyone who’s into collecting Precious Moments figures. But rather than dwell on the past, let’s go back to the future and appreciate this fairy tale ending of precious understanding.

Which one of these figures would you want in your home the most? What other movies should get their own? Tell us in the comments below.
