AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Gets a New, Earlier Release Date

For some reason, I’m blaming Doctor Strange for this one. According to the Avengers Twitter account—because apparently Twitter is the only place anything of importance happens anymore—the latest super-installment from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Avengers: Infinity War, has been moved up a week, from May 4th to April 27th, 2018.

And they just dropped it in a handful of tweets between its stars like it was literally no big deal. As if we all haven’t been organizing our entire summer around the film featuring our favorite big screen super team.

It started out simply enough:

And then Tony Stark himself, Robert Downey Jr., got in on the bit:

Proving the synergy of Marvel, the two accounts continued the chat:

And then RDJ asked for more (because of course he did)—because he’s the Veruca Salt of the MCU:

And, because Marvel is Marvel, they obliged:

Now we all get to see it a week early in America!

So, that’s how we do things now—not with a press release, but with a tweet! The future is here and it is very brief.

Now who here wants them to release Solo on May 4th now? Let us know in the comments below.
