Warning: There are potential spoilers ahead for Avengers 4!
Remember how much simpler things were when Avengers 4 was simply Avengers: Infinity War – Part II? Perhaps that was done to keep the cliffhanger ending a surprise, but we still don’t know what the fourth Avengers movie is going to be called. However, the Russo brothers have given fans an update on where things stand with Marvel’s most anticipated sequels. And one of the “dusted” heroes has even confirmed his return for the reshoots. Today’s Nerdist News dives into the Soul Stone to bring you the details!
Join host and Soul World explorer, Jessica Chobot, as she shares the good news straight from Anthony and Joe Russo. The word is that the Russos refined their Avengers 4 edit ahead of the upcoming reshoots, and they expect the film to be finished by March. That would leave a comfortable two month window before the movie is released in May 2019.
Now, here’s where the spoilers come in. It’s not too shocking, but Dave Bautista confirmed his return for Avengers 4. He said most of his Drax scenes have already been filmed, but he will be reporting to the set for two days of reshoots. Bautista also indicated the fate of the Guardians of the Galaxy may be changed since the third film is currently on hold. We’re not sure what that may entail for the Guardians, but we’re still eager to see the team come back together on the big screen.
