The world of Pokemon fan art has been topsy-turvy lately. Not that this is a bad thing, but it does make me question if there’s are mystical forces out there hell bent on giving me nightmares. If you need a bit of a refresher, take a look at these reimagined Pokemon from last week. Now, artist Beth Emery/Zsparky is one-upping the eye-pop factor with a Pokemon/Attack on Titan mash-up that will have you so grateful that Pokemon are the cute cuddly creatures they are.
Check out the epic mash-up images below:
Traditionally drawn with ink pens, Emery is able to capture the creepiness of Attack on Titan and gracefully tie it in with Pokemon. She uses scenery very well, as well as plastering familiar titan poses and expressions on the Pokemon. Take Bulbasaur, for example: without that gruesome smile or those dead eyes, it would be a normal looking Pokemon that wouldn’t give me the chills.
My favorite of the bunch, however, is her take on Jigglypuff and Clefairy. Both Pokemon are considered quite the adorable creatures, but you plaster on that twisted smile and dead eyes and set it in front of a hole in the wall with a minuscule Rattata, and you’ve got something worth people freaking out over a little bit.
How do you feel about this mash-up? Let us know in the comments below.

I am never going to be able to put Mr. Mime anywhere ever again. Haha, he looks so scary.
You just ruined my childhood…
*You just upgraded my childhood…
This is awesome. Creepy, but awesome.
This would be the best way to describe this
Okay. As a child, child
Okay. In my childhood state of mind, my world was just ruined. As an adult this is legit
That fan art looks amazing!
