ATOM and VIXEN Spin-Offs! ARROW and FLASH Updates! Is CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS Imminent?!

With at least ten films in development, four shows running on TV right now, and more on the way, it’s easy to think that DC Entertainment is spread far too thin…but what if there’s a plan in place to tie everything together in a way we’d never expected?

Join Jessica Chobot on today’s Nerdist News as she rounds-up the latest DC Comics TV developments – everything from a potential Atom spin-off, to a totally-real Vixen animated series, to now-annual Flash/Arrow face-offs, to the potential for CBS’ Supergirl to cross over with her CW brethren, and finally…the possibility that all of these shows are meant to eventually cross over with the cinematic universe for an event of…infinite proportions.

Thanks for watching today’s show, don’t miss our list of Back to the Future predictions that are coming true this year, and let us know in the comments below which piece of DC news you’re most excited for!

  1. Dan Luedke says:

The fact that the Flash TV show and Flash movie will have different actors should tell you all you need to know about whether or not they will be connected. But, since it obviously didn’t…they won’t be. Duh.

    • Alex says:

The fact that the tv Flash and movie Flash are different actually makes the argument FOR a Crisis on Infinite Earths… that comic story line was about different versions of the same characters.

  2. Zach says:

    AKA Dylan Dog!
    C’mon, anyone? Anyone?

  3. flameape says:

DC/WB/CW has said over and over again that there is absolutely no connection or crossover between movie and TV universes. Why drag out this subject, when it is crystal clear that nothing like this is going to happen? You had a fun episode until you rolled out the filler-non-starter rumor stuff, Jessica.  Also, am I the only one who is disappointed by Firestorms uniform? Hope that’s his transitional costume.

  4. Michael Sacal says:

Don’t muddy the multimedia adaptations with unnecessary things. Crisis served a specific purpose – to rejuvenate the comic books after 50 years of damaging concepts and stories. Those comics were broken, Crisis was the fix. These shows and movies aren’t broken, so they don’t need it. To do it, would be a gimmick (“let’s watch two Supermen, three Batmen, and two Flashes fight each other!”)

  5. Patrick says:

Isn’t there supposed to be a live action Teen Titans tv show happening soon too?
