ASSASSIN’S CREED IV ‘FREEDOM CRY’ DLC Confirmed For December 17

The release date for Assassin’s Creed IV‘s first single player DLC expansion was spotted in the latest digital version of Game Informer. The folks at Videogamer stumbled across an advert from Ubisoft, revealing the DLC to be hitting Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, and PS4 on December 17. No Wii U version seems to be in the works, as not only was it omitted from the advert, but Ubisoft has stated that they are not bringing any AC4 DLC to the Wii U.

Freedom Cry will pit the players in the shoes of Edward Kenway’s shipmate Adewale. Ubisoft says the DLC will add up to about 4+ hours of additional content, spanning across 9 missions. No exact price has been confirmed on the DLC yet, though it is covered by the game’s $20 season pass.
