It’s the end of the line for Bruce Campbell‘s Ash Williams. The series finale of Ash vs. Evil Dead will wrap up Campbell’s 37-year run with the character, which began in the original Evil Dead film. Campbell may be retiring from the role, but that doesn’t mean we won’t get one last chance to see Ash do what he does best: running away from his responsibilities!
In our exclusive preview from the final episode of Ash vs. Evil Dead, Ash angrily rejects his destiny and grabs a beer in front of Pablo and Brandy. Fair warning, Ash uses some very NSFW language in this clip. But can you really blame him? The Dark Ones have come to Earth, and they’ve unleashed hell on Elk Grove. Ash’s beloved chainsaw has been destroyed and something very big and very evil is coming to take them all down.
Ash may not like it, but there’s no way he’s going down without a Boomstick in his hand alongside his faithful team. First, they need to get Kelly back in her own body. Then they need to get the Necronomicon away from the Dark Ones and defeat their latest champion. And even though Ruby appeared to die in the penultimate episode, we suspect that this series can’t come to an end without at least one more battle between Ash and his recurring nemesis.
Ash vs. Evil Dead will finish its run on Sunday, April 29 on Starz.
