ASH VS EVIL DEAD and OUTLANDER Invade Comic-Con 2015

Dozens of television shows are heading to this year’s Comic-Con International. But only Starz is bringing the Boomstick to San Diego!

Perennial Comic-Con favorite Bruce Campbell is coming back to SDCC to preview his new series, Ash vs Evil Dead. For the first time in 23 years, Campbell is reprising his role as Ashley J. Williams from the Evil Dead/Army of Darkness films in a ten episode series that hits Starz this fall.

Joining Campbell for the Ash vs Evil Dead panel are his frequent collaborators, director Sam Raimi and executive producer Rob Tapert. Former Xena: Warrior Princess star Lucy Lawless will also be on the panel, since she plays an enigmatic woman named Ruby in Ash vs Evil Dead.

SDCC has scheduled the Ash vs Evil Dead panel for Friday, July 10 at 6pm in Room 6A. Frankly, that room is just not going to be big enough for this panel. Even if he wasn’t promoting a highly anticipated show, Campbell is still a wildly popular convention guest. Come very early for this one, or else you’re not going to get in.

Starz is also hosting a panel for Outlander, which is making a triumphant return to San Diego for its second year at Comic-Con. Executive producer Ronald D. Moore, and Outlander creator/novelist Diana Gabaldon will welcome series stars Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan as they discuss the first season of Outlander and look ahead to season 2.

The Outlander panel is scheduled for Saturday, July 11 at 4pm in Ballroom 20, and it’s likely to be one of the most anticipated panels of the convention.
