“And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy, and it was spelled ‘Terminator Genisys.'” Yes, even the King James Bible’s Book of Revelation agrees that the spelling of the next Terminator film’s title is a clear sign of the coming apocalypse. Filming on the fifth Terminator, the fourth to star Arnold Schwarzenegger (unless we count his CG-enhanced cameo in Terminator Salvation), has just wrapped in New Orleans. And the once and future T-800 has taken to Instagram to herald its new title…
The photo’s accompanying caption reads “Hasta la vista, baby. I want to thank the cast and crew of @TerminatorGenisys for a fantastic shoot. It was challenging, it was fun, and it was rewarding. From our director to the producers, from the camera team to catering, from visual effects to hair and makeup â we couldnât have done it without you. I canât wait to see our finished project and I know weâll remind the fans why they fell in love with the Terminator. On July 1, 2015, Iâll be back.”
The official logo has also come through via the Terminator Genisys Twitter handle, @Terminator…
Fans are already rife with speculation about the meaning of the Alan Taylor-directed film’s title spelling. “Especially,” as SlashFilm observes, “since the screen Schwarzenegger is sitting in front of says ‘Genisys’ in front of it. is that the name of some kind of computer software that Skynet creates? Something that makes time travel possible?”
Perhaps the answer is more… diabolical. In their war against the humans, could the machines somehow be changing history and dumbing down mankind by destroying the English language as a sort of enforced Idiocracy? Let us know what you think in the comments section below.

the way genisys(ge-nee-sis) is pronounsed is more acurate with the greek language, it has the same meaning as genesis.
Everyone is trying to protect trademarks these days by overstepping the line to the 9th degree. Sega’s lawyers probably sent them a letter.
Not gonna lie, actually excited for this.
Genisys means Generation I System dur…
or its something to do with computer systems….probably going back in time to stop the creation of the original skynet software…again
