If there’s one thing scarier this Halloween season than zombies, vampires, werewolves, mummies, inappropriately sexy Disney characters, and drunken d-bags, it’s *GASP* not getting invited to things. For people in this phone-glued, social media-addicted world (which, let’s face it, most of us are), it’s a fate worse than death not to be at the same event as all your friends and able to post pictures and things of it ad nauseum. It’s one of the biggest fears of the technology age and sends people into fits of rampant down-in-the-dumpedness. This is why the iron was so hot for the new horror film FOMO, or Fear of Missing Out.
The movie (which isn’t real and is a comedy video made by College Humor) stars Anna Camp from True Blood and The Mindy Project as Dana, a girl who seemingly had it all, until she suddenly didn’t anymore. She knows lots and lots of parties, gatherings, game nights, movie nights, or other such group outings are happening, but she can’t seem to get ahold of anyone, she’s alone with her sister/roommate/friend (it’s not specified) Juno until even Juno has somewhere else to be… it’s the most terrifying 2 minutes you’ll ever experience…
Probably the best part of this trailer is the old lady who is very clearly wearing a huge white fright wig over her existing hair. And Juno’s eyes being demonic for no reason. It’s astonishing how anything can seem like life and death when shot and edited in that way, even people just not telling you where the party at.
