Animake This! FOX and Adobe Team Up For Student Animation Contest

Attention all student filmmakers! Campus MovieFest, the world’s largest student film festival, has launched a new animation contest, Animake This!, with FOX Animation Domination High-Def and Adobe. College students are invited to submit pieces from their existing portfolio in the categories of animation, special effects, character illustration and music composition for animation. Prizes include cash grants, trips to LA to shadow the FOX Animation Domination High-Def team, Adobe products and more. Additionally, winning filmmakers will be highlighted on the ShortsHD cable network and in-flight on Virgin America in CMF’s Featured Content.

Said Hend Baghdady, Executive in Charge of Production at FOX Animation Domination, “At Animation Domination High-Def, we pride ourselves on making cool shit. Shows for TV, weekly short films, news & pop culture GIFs… whatever it is, we want it to be dope. It takes amazing artists to make all this happen. The Animake This! contest lets us check out amazing new animators and illustrators so we can have these talented kids on our radar. We also want to give back and help grow and develop the next generation of badass artists.”

The panel of judges is led by David Silverman (director of The Simpsons Movie and Monsters, Inc.), in addition to FOX Animation Domination High-Def execs and creatives including Nick Weidenfeld, Hend Baghdady, and Ben Jones, as well as David Roemer (CEO and founder of Campus MovieFest), and Dan Cowles (Creative Director, Adobe).

For more information on how to enter visit the official Animake This! website. Student submissions are due June 2, 2014.
