You know the affection everyone at Nerdist has for the film Black Dynamite (including this podcast), and you also may know that an animated series version of the epic Blaxploitation movie parody, which had a pilot released last year, is coming to Adult Swim on July 15th. Today, the network released this trailer for the cartoon:

The animation quality looks lower in quality than the pilot. I’m little dissapointed in that regard, but if the writing is still top notch I’ll get over it.

I just converted the pilot (downloaded the .flv files when it posted last year) over & loaded it onto my iPad last night. I wondered if the series was going to happen, then, lo and behold….
Can’t wait.
The pilot for this was GOLDEN comedy. I can’t wait for it!
