  3. I have been a Transformers fan for 30 years. I have watched every episode of every Transformers show released in the US, and most of those released elsewhere. My summary of TF4: There were three characters from the last movie. That’s all this had in common with it. Some said that TF3 was the worst TF movie ever. They haven’t seen this yet.
They destroyed the very foundation of the entire series and simultaneously created a plothole big enough to push a star system through. And many other major plotholes.

And the biggest new thing – about which all the promotion was based – was not introduced; it was just there. Prime never explained. They never spoke. And they just walked off afterwards. The only semi-intro they got was at the start of the movie, but it was entirely unconnected. Just a convenient coincidence. And would anyone ever believe that Grimlock was one of the greatest “knights” in history? Really?!?

As the movie ended, I actually thought, however briefly, that maybe they should just stop. End it. Put it out of its misery.

Then I realized something. The franchise is still good. Put Michael Bay out of our misery. Remove the last movie from the canon, and do a new TF4. (The other three weren’t done that well, but at least they didn’t destroy the basis.) Or pull a Spiderman and trash all the MB movies, and redo them by somebody who actually cares about doing a good Transformers movie, rather than someone who actually said, uh, lots of unkind things about the franchise which I won’t repeat.

Let me repeat. The only thing good in TF4 was Lockdown. And Grimlock, but only a little – because that’s all we saw. The good parts were like Star Trek: Insurrection – they could have fit it into a TV show. Though with this, all the good parts could have fit into a 15 minute webisode.

Chobot, you are frumpy these days.

I wish those movie would just stop. no more please

Mission Impossible Three was kinda ehh.  And seriously, a director of the Fast and Furious movies?  You want to replace Bay with someone who is going to do the exact same things?  Seriously, when’s the last time Ridley Scott truly screwed something up?  Pick him.

  7. Lawrence says:

    No brainier… alejandro jodorowsky! Ya that’s right .. I said $#*’! Jodorowsky!

  8. tct1312 says:

When did Nerdist become whinny fan-boy news? Haven’t seen Transformers 4 yet but the constant 7 year nerdrage against the franchise is getting a little old. Yes, they are very stupid but did anyone ever expect them to be awesome, well written, true to the source, powerfully directed movies? I don’t go on hour long rants whenever I take a poo. Poo stinks. Get over it.

    • PaladinPool619 says:

And I’m dumb. I mean whiney. Nerdist isn’t horse news.

      • Fan1138 says:

Yeah man, it’s not horse news, nor is it… I dunno… what do you want it to be exactly? It’s nerdy news. Can’t nerdy fan-boys opine?
