An Extended Trailer for BETTER CALL SAUL Reveals New Jimmy McGill Details

It’s showtime, folks! Jimmy McGill — otherwise known as Saul Goodman — is here and more than ready for action in the newest extended trailer for Better Call Saul.

Released on Saturday at the winter tour of the Television Critic Association, this latest look into the prequel life of Breaking Bad‘s most absurd lawyer shows Bob Odenkirk’s character’s flair for the dramatic was always a big part of who he is: even before he was the man we now know as Saul.

“The day of reckoning is here,” McGill exclaims. And oh, what a reckoning he’s in for. Just take a look at the clip:

Perhaps the best part of all of this? Seeing Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks) in his life before joining the drug-fueled madness — as a parking lot attendant (Which: really?). Is it really all that surprising to anyone that Saul and Mike were not bosom buddies from minute one?

Perhaps the most interesting takeaway from the trailer, though, is Jimmy McGill’s capacity for good — particularly in relation to Chuck McGill, whose quest to beat cancer has turned him into an easy target for getting screwed over by his law partners. And, hoo boy, will those partners of his have to atone.

Starring Bob Odenkirk reprising his Saul/Jimmy role (in addition to Jonathan Banks as Mike Ehrmantraut), with Michael McKean as Chuck McGill, Michael Mando (a/k/a Orphan Black‘s Vic) as Nacho Varga, Patrick Fabian as Howard Hamlin, and Rhea Seehorn as Kim Wexler, Better Call Saul’s two-night premiere takes place on Sunday, February 8th and Monday, February 9th at 10pm.

How excited are you for Better Call Saul? Leave your energetic feelings in the comments!
