Will AMERICAN HORROR STORY Bring Slender Man to Life in Season 6?

So far, Brad Falchuk and Ryan Murphy‘s American Horror Story has explored the creepy worlds and characters inside murder houses, asylums, covens, freak shows, and hotels. But rumor has it the next, sixth season will make our skin crawl while focusing on just one creepy individual: Slender Man.

A source for US Magazine claims the producers of FX’s horror anthology have found an existing Slender Man script they like and are currently trying to adapt it for the show’s next season. And wouldn’t you know it, a source close to production has confirmed to Nerdist that the producers have been considering Slender Man for some time now. Which is to say: this rumor has legs – very, very tall, skinny legs. So what will American Horror Story’s take on Slender Man look like? And who from the show’s recurring cast might be a good fit for the internet’s favorite boogeyman?

Join Jessica Chobot for a delicious plate of creepypasta as we review the mythology of the meme, its evolution into full-fledged urban legend, and how it might be interpreted on-screen for the spooky series, on today’s Nerdist News. And check out the latest episode of Because Science, where Kyle Hill examines Fox Mulder and his conspiracy theories.

Let us know in the comments who you think should play Slender Man, and if you’re excited to see the meme come to life and broadcast into your living room in the home where you have to sleep every night… oh no.
