It’s the most wonderful time of the year. No, I don’t mean Christmas. If you’ve been paying attention to the site, I’m sure you’ve caught on to our love of Halloween (cough, Nerdoween) by now. And as American Horror Story, one of our favorite horror series, gears up for Hotel’s premiere and the launch of the Freak Show Blu-ray this week, the folks at the Hero Complex Gallery in Los Angeles, CA took the opportunity to host a special fan art Exhibition opening night last week.
Over 200 people attended the event including tons of fans, artists, members of the press, and gallery co-founders/AHS actresses Naomi Grossman (Asylum, Freak Show), Jamie Brewer (Murder House, Coven, Freak Show), and Liana Mendoza (Hotel). In addition to checking out the exhibits, attendees were able to wander around the circus-inspired setting, and were treated to AHS-themed food and drinks, and live music.
If you’re an AHS fan and live in the LA area, making the trip out to the gallery is definitely worth it. It will run until October 18, so you still have plenty of time to check out the exhibition, which features over 100 original originals, prints, and sculptures inspired by the show. For a closer look at some of the pieces shown off, and the event itself, check out the images in the gallery below.
We also had the opportunity to check out an early screening of American Horror Story: Hotel, so stay tuned for more on that.
