Agent Carter is Returning to AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Sooner Than You Think

Like Phil Coulson before her, Peggy Carter’s starting to grow into MCU supporting character royalty. What started as a one-off, but amazing co-starring role in Captain America: The First Avenger has quickly grown into an exciting piece of work for actress Hayley Atwell that’ll soon span not just a cameo in The Winter Soldier, but also an appearance in Marvel’s upcoming Ant-Man and, most importantly, a leading role in a series all her own set to debut on ABC this fall. Ever since her appearance in the season premiere of S.H.I.E.L.D., many have wondered if we’re going to get another dose of Peggy prior to Agent Carter‘s January premiere. Well, wonder no more — the answer has been revealed.

According to Marvel, the famed Captain America companion will appear on the November 18th episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., “The Thing We Bury.” At the moment, Marvel hasn’t revealedlthe extent to which Peggy will appear or for what purpose, but they do say “Coulson and team find themselves in an epic face-off against Hydra to uncover an ancient secret, while Ward kidnaps his brother, Senator Christian Ward, for a violent trip down memory lane.”

Ward vs Ward, S.H.I.E.L.D. vs Hydra, promised Peggy appearance, sign us up! Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been on a roll thus far in its sophomore season, and things really kicked into high gear once we learned what happened with Simmons and where she’s been in the off-season. With the mid-season finale fast approaching, here’s hoping whatever’s about to go down is major, because we’re gonna need a few months to deal with no Team Coulson on our TV screens.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on ABC.

Hopefully something with the Howling Commandos. It would give Triplett more of a story arc to tie into.
