Adventure Time Candy Corn Rat Cookie recipe

Adventure Time Science the Rat Candy Corn Cookies
-makes 12 cookies

Ingredients:
– 3 cups all-purpose flour
– 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
– pinch of salt
– 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
– 1 cup sugar
– 1 egg
– 1 teaspoon vanilla
– orange food gel dye
– yellow food gel dye
– white food gel dye
– black icing

In a medium bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt.

In the bowl of an electric mixer cream the butter and sugar until combined.

Add the egg and vanilla, then slowly add in the dry ingredients until the dough comes together.

Separate the dough into three equal pieces, using the orange gel dye to color one piece, the yellow gel dye for another and the white gel dye for the last. Mix in well until the color is incorporated.

Wrap the pieces in plastic wrap. Chill until you are ready to use.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Prep baking sheets with silpats.

Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick. Cut triangular shapes out of each dough, then arrange them on the prepped baking sheets with the yellow at the base, orange in the center and white on the pointed end.

Take a small piece of orange dough and add it to the tip of the white end for the nose. Add legs out of orange and yellow dough at the base of the body. Roll out a thin piece of yellow dough for the tail.

Bake for 10 minutes, let cool on a wire rack.

When the cookies are completely cool use a #2 tip and black icing to make an eye and a smile.

Once the icing has set the cookies are ready to serve.
