ADVENTURE TIME’s Official Coloring Book Brings New Shades to the Land of Ooo

For the last eight years, Cartoon Network’s Adventure Time has invited viewers to enjoy the colorful tales of Finn the Human and Jake the Dog in the charming Land of Ooo. But now it’s time for fans to bring their own colors to Ooo in a brand new coloring book.

Dark Horse Comics and Cartoon Network have joined forces to publish the Adventure Time Official Coloring Book. Pendleton Ward’s iconic animated series will be represented by 45 original black and white illustrations inspired by the show, with contributions from Ron Chan, Braden Lamb, Ian McGinty, Phillip Murphy, and Shelli Paroline. Dark Horse also sent along Chan’s cover, which is loaded with several of our favorite characters from the show and a few surprises as well.

Thanks to the show, we know which colors each character should have and we probably have a good idea about which colors should be in the background. But would anyone expect Finn and Jake to stay within those boundaries? Or would they explore their own unique take on their friends and frenemies? Ultimately, it’s going to be up to the fans, and this is a coloring book that was designed with adults in mind as well.

Fans attending this year’s San Diego Comic-Con will be able to catch a special preview of the Adventure Time Official Coloring Book ahead of its official release on July 25.
