Adam Savage Went Incognito as Kylo Ren during Comic-Con

As you’d expect, Adam Savage was a busy man at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. When he wasn’t busy talking with our very own Kyle Hill about the science of Star Trek during Nerdist’s Camp Conival at Petco Park, he was walking the floor of the convention center for his always impressive “Adam Incognito” cosplay adventures. We already told you about his epic “the bear from The Revenant” costume, but before that he anonymously hit the packed halls of the Nerd Superbowl as the newest villain in the Star Wars galaxy, Kylo Ren.

Wearing a costume from Anovos, Savage changed up his normal routine a little, which usually sees him get dressed at his hotel before walking over to the event. Because that walk was a little longer this year, and it was very hot and humid during this year’s Con (and believe me, it was–so much for the dry heat of Southern California), he actually got dressed hidden inside a booth on the floor itself. So he went incognito incognito.

Dressing up as Kylo Ren might not seem as complicated as some of his past costumes, but it was essentially 10 pounds of clothing. Half of this video is just Savage getting all of the pieces on.

While it was very cool to learn from Savage how the tight-fitting, heavily clothed costume itself helps create the mindset for being the evil version of Ben Solo, we’re all about this moment.
