We’d Join the Empire for These Acrylic STAR WARS Desk Lamps

…Only we don’t have to because there’s a Millennium Falcon one too!

These desk lamps by Amazon seller HandMake have us unloading all our credits to the nearest galactic currency exchange because, well, just look at them! Simple yet elegant, these lamps are made of acrylic sheets cut into the shapes of arguably the best vehicles on either side of your standard Star War. An multi-color LED system in the base sends most of its light directly through the acrylic, but stops and diffuses where the design is etched, resulting in one of the more elegant Star Wars light sources short of using an actual light saber. SWLamps01082415

The simplicity of these lamps may be their strong suit as they would certainly serve as a focal point if displayed as such, their unobtrusive design a perfect accent to any proper Star Wars nerd’s desk or nightstand. Plus we’re talking a slim design with long lasting LEDs here, so gone are the annoyances of changing lightbulbs or having to give up precious tabletop real estate. The one downside is that they are a bit on the pricey side for their size: the AT-AT stands at 8 inches and the Falcon at 9 so they aren’t going to light an entire room by any means but will run you about $90 including shipping.

Check out the gallery below and HandMake’s store for more lamp designs, including some customizable options. Oh and for you Hyruli-philes (That’s a word right? Someone who’s obsessed with The Legend Of Zelda? Well it is now), they also make an amazing Tri-Force lamp as well!
