A Trip Through Time? “Ain’t it Cool”

Is Harry Knowles a Time Lord? I don’t think so, but he does talk about time travel on this week’s edition of the Nerdist Channel’s Ain’t it Cool with Harry Knowles, so there’s that.

Subscribe to the Nerdist Channel and you won’t need to time travel to know what’s on.

  1. Doctor Who can pose a problem to those with preconceived notions about the show. I do think its much easier to get into now, as opposed to anyone who tried to get into it during the Classic era, but for those who turn into raging Whovians, the Classic era needs to be watched!

Getting people into Who can be tricky. I really think it takes the right episodes to do the trick. You can’t necessarily just sit someone down and put on Rose. I don’t think that’d work on most people. You need episodes like Blink, The Girl in the Fireplace, Silence in the LIbrary, and The God Complex, to name a few.

The problem is that Doctor Who isn’t in any way like anything anyone who hasn’t seen it has ever seen. It’s so much more than its component parts, and I think it takes a true Whovian to guide newbies into the Whoniverse with some passionate effort!
