A STEVEN UNIVERSE Soundtrack Album is Coming, and It’s Going to Be Amazing

One of the ways that the magical half-human Steven Universe has won our hearts is through the power of song. Music is a critical part of the Steven Universe experience, and now, fans are getting something they’ve been waiting for for a long time: the show’s official soundtrack album.

Via Entertainment Weekly, Cartoon Network is releasing Steven Universe Soundtrack: Volume 1 digitally on June 2nd. While we don’t know what the track list will look like yet, we do know that the show has a lot of great and fun material to work with. The songs are all remastered versions, performed by the show’s cast, including Zach Callison (who voices our titular hero), Estelle (Garnet), Deedee Magno Hall (Pearl), Michaela Dietz (Amethyst), and Tom Scharpling (Greg), as well as series creator Rebecca Sugar and other special guests. Here’s the cover art:

“I am so excited about this album that I hardly have the words,” Sugar said in a press statement. “I cannot say enough about how much I love each of these tracks! But I can say that this is the best they’ve ever sounded! Please blast them! Please sing along! That’s what these are for! If the music of Steven Universe has been a tiny piece of the score of your life, please know that I am so honored.”
