Animated STAR FOX ZERO Short Coming Later This Week

With Star Fox Zero launching later this week on the Wii U, Nintendo decided to shake things up with an animated short titled, Star Fox Zero: The Battle Begins–and let me just say, it looks absolutely badass! The short will air on Nintendo’s website later this week on April 20, at 3 p.m. PT. The Big N teamed up with Production I.G (Ghost in the Shell) and Wit Studio (Attack on Titan) to bring this collaboration to life. With all of this talent attached to the project, you’ll definitely want to check it out. Peep the teaser trailer above!

Wouldn’t it be great to get a full-blown Star Fox anime? We sure think so.

Following the short’s debut, there will be a Star Fox Zero and Star Fox Guard Treehouse event, where both games will presumably be streamed for your viewing pleasure. Then, you can pick up the game come Friday. So, this will be a Fox McCloud filled-week. Also, just in case you’re still not sure whether you want to pick up the game, our review for Zero/Guard will be going live later this week with everything you need to know about the motion controls and vehicular gameplay.

Will you be watching this short when it’s streamed later this week? What are you expecting out of this short? Would you watch an actual anime featuring this game franchise? Which other Nintendo IP would you want to see get this same treatment? Are you planning on purchasing Star Fox Zero when it launches on Friday? Let us know in the comments below!

We love Star Fox so much, we imagined what a live-action film would look like and made a trailer for it!
