A New Trailer for David Fincher’s GONE GIRL Has Arrived

It’s been three long years since last we saw a David Fincher production on the big screen; three long years since last we got a taste of the man’s bleak appetite for incredible storytelling and amazing camera work. Luckily for us though, the wait will soon be coming to an end with the director’s latest effort, the Ben Affleck-starring adaptation of Gillian Flynn’s bestselling novel, Gone Girl. And today, we have an all new trailer for the film that, frankly, is getting us more excited by the second:

It’s like a modern day Zodiac, and that’s fine with us because this is the kind of movie we want to see from the man behind Fight Club and Se7en. The cinematography has that classic Fincher feel with the dark lighting and wide-open space, the acting is subtle yet defined and the score… man, that is some intense music in this clip, and we want it on a loop.

The point is, Gone Girl looks like a great mystery-drama for fans of the genre, but it also looks like a great film that the majority of the viewing public will adore. Not to mention that Affleck appears to be giving it his all in this one. That’s what you get when you pair a good actor with someone like Fincher: something totally unique and fascinating.

Gone Girl hits theaters October 3rd.
