The new third official trailer for 300: Rise of an Empire has arrived, hot on the heels of a new TV spot that aired on the AFC and NFC Championship games Sunday. No, Richard Sherman’s not in it, though that would be entertaining. Here’s the new trailer:
As you know by now, Lena Headey is back as Queen Gorgo, Rodrigo Santoro returns as Xerxes, and Sullivan Stapleton, who’s best known in Australia for being in a bunch of TV shows and in the movie Animal Kingdom, and Eva Green are the leads. It’s based on Frank Miller’s Xerxes.
Oh, and for posterity, here’s the TV spot that aired Sunday:
300: Rise of an Empire opens on March 7th. We’ll note here that Legendary Pictures, co-production company with Warner Bros., owns Nerdist Industries, although we’re editorially independent. And, yeah, we’ve been seeing trailers for this one since last June, so if you’ve been awaiting this one with fevered anticipation, you only have a month and a half to go.
This is going to be so good. I can’t wait. Thanks for sharing @nerdist
