A Gallery of Awesome Mondo HOBBIT Posters

With the release of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies but two days hence (a thing a wizard would probably say, whilst stroking his beard and smoking), the hype surrounding what is most likely the final J.R.R. Tolkien film for several decades has hit Smaug-sized proportions. As we get ready to big a fond farewell, a Last Goodbye if you will, to Bilbo Baggins, Gandalf, Thorin Oakenshield, and the billions of other characters we’ve met in those films, various tributes and tie-ins have begun to swarm in and around us, including some really fantastic artwork.

True to form, Mondo is coming out with some amazing posters devoted to some of the movies in the series, a couple with variants. An Unexpected Journey is by Ken Taylor, The Desolation of Smaug and its variant are by Nicolas Delort, and The Fellowship of the Ring and its variant were done by Aaron Horkey. The prices of the posters vary, and they’re all in very limited supply, but they all go on sale via Mondo’s website beginning Tuesday, December 16th.

The three Hobbit posters were MTV exclusives, and the two Fellowship ones were Badass Digest exclusives.
