A FROZEN-Inspired Wedding Dress Approaches With January Flurries

Whether they were pacing stoically through the living room with a pillow case attached to the back of your head or pairing your dolls/action figures up with the perfect partner, many young ones grow up dreaming of the day they will get their fairytale wedding. Thanks to the exquisite tastes of Disney and Alfred Angelo, it’s now possible to actually live the dream and be a Disney Princess on your wedding day. Not just any princess though – come January 2015, which we predict will bring a swirling landscape of snow and ice to your doorstep, you can become the Snow Queen herself. That’s right. There’s an Elsa wedding dress on its way!

Alfred Angelo’s Chief Creative Officer Michele Piccione saw incredible inspiration in Elsa. “She is beautiful and elegant, and her inner beauty shines through when she is ultimately not afraid to embrace who she is with confidence and poise,” he told InStyle. “We wanted to translate Elsa’s inner beauty and individuality into a sophisticated gown that exudes this.”

The new dress will come in ice blue and ivory. The sweetheart neckline accentuates the softly-flared sheath with layers of satin, tulle, glitter net, and organza. It has a classic Watteau train so that the Elsa inside every bride can swirl it behind her as she enters and exits a room. The beading details mimic fresh snow.

Elsa is only the latest in a long line of Disney Princesses to be immortalized by Alfred Angelo’s designs. We’ve included a large selections of his other designs below including options for Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Tiana, Belle and Ariel. You can find local stores that carry them on his website. We must also make the disclaimer: None of the Snow White dresses come with birds to carry your veil or train.
