The latest look at Ridley Scott’s foray in the Halo universe surfaced on the web this morning. Despite the untimely departure of Xbox Entertainment Studios, Halo Nightfall is still making its way to completion and is set to launch alongside The Master Chief Collection when the game releases on November 11. The video below gives fans of the Halo universe a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Halo Nightfall as well as a first hand explanation on how the live-action series will work in conjunction with Halo 5: Guardians.

Halo 4: Forward Onto Dawn did a tremendous job expanding on the Halo universe by means of live-action adaptation, so expectations for Halo Nightfall are rather high– especially since it contains the vivid backstory to one of the characters we’ll see in Halo 5: Guardians. If anything, this gives folks something to do while downloading that pesky 20GB day-one patch for The Master Chief Collection. Smooth move to get everyone watching, 343.
