It’s almost time for the return of Community (sans Dan Harmon, insert frowny face), and NBC has a little teaser for us today, as the gang celebrates the start of senior year and getting into History of Ice Cream. Missing is Joel McHale, but the rest of the study group (including Chevy Chase) is in the clip. Not everybody has a lot to do, and it’s short, but if you’ve been waiting, it’s just a little taster for the season premiere on October 19th… er, February 7th at 8/7c. Group hug!

I hope I’m not just projecting my disappointment over Harmon’s departure, but I didn’t find a lot to like in that clip.
To me, Community ended last spring, this is just executive fan fiction. But that doesn’t mean I won’t watch or enjoy it. I still hold out hope that it will be even half as good as before, which frankly, would be good enough for me.
Uggh, I can’t shake the feeling that this season will suck just because Dan Harmon and 5 writers aren’t there anymore. Hopefully I’m wrong but any “misstep” (imo, which is probably wrong) feels like it was caused by the lack of season 1-3 people.
