With the holidays comes candy, and this Easter, Cadbury Creme Eggs will make their annual return to market. For those who just canât wait to get their hands on the fondant-filled treats, however, a London vacation is in order because the very first Cadbury Creme Egg restaurant is set to open.
For just seven weeksâfrom January 22 to March 6âegg-heads can get their candy fix at this pop-up restaurant on Greek Street in Soho. This three-leveled ode to the egg will have fans lined up for treats like Creme Egg Goo Toasties (a golden toast sandwich containing a Creme Egg) and Egg and Soldiers (an egg cracked open with toast for soaking up the goo). Hm, pleasant.
Also available? A Creme Egg Tray Bake, a chocolate cake with Creme Eggs baked inside, and Strawberries and Creme, which is basically just strawberries with a side of mini Creme Egg. (Personally, I think that one could have been thought through a bit more.)
The ground level will house take-away for those who want their eggs on the run, while the first level will be a sit-down restaurant serving the items tableside for those who prefer to savor their Creme Egg delights.
But perhaps the oddest part of all of thisâyes, more than a candy-filled menuâis that the third floor will consist of a giant ball pit. One can only hope that guests will be able to take a swan dive into a giant pool filled to the brim with Cadbury Creme Eggs.
