8 New Anime Series You Need to Watch This Fall

On September 22, the autumnal equinox will officially mark the beginning of fall, banishing summer back to the boiling hot nether realm where it belongs. With the start of the new season, we can rely on three inevitable truths: you’ll be raking your body weight in leaves, you’ll nurse your crippling addiction to pumpkin spice lattes, and you’ll find a heaping helping of new anime. But unless you’re a weird clockwork automaton, you’re not made of free time. So, how will you sift through the veritable cornucopia of awesome new anime coming out in the next few months? Easy—you let me do the heavy lifting for you!

After poring over new release calendars, doing copious amounts of research, and using a combination of tea leaves and animal bones, I have narrowed down the field to eight anime series worthy of your hard earned free time this fall. From the supernatural mayhem of Occultic;Nine to the unconventional crime saga of Bungo Stray Dogs and beyond, there’s a little something for everyone this fall. Unless, of course, you wanted more Attack on Titan. You’re gonna have to wait until 2017 for that.

Which fall anime series are you most excited to see? Which would you add to this list? Let us know in the comments below.
