So here’s the thing about the season premiere of Game of Thrones, the craziest part is definitely when HAHAHAHAHA just kidding, suckers! Obviously we’re not going to tell you what happens, but these three new clipsâone of which isn’t even from the season six premiereâdo give you an idea of just how many changes are in store for our main characters.
Warning: if you don’t want to know anything about what’s to come, turn away now! There are spoilers held within these clips that showcase a greater context for where our characters are headed.
OK, so, first thing’s first: Sansa and Theon/Reek have survived their fall, miraculous as that may be to some, but they’re clearly not out of the woods. With hounds and guards from House Bolton on their tail, a ton of snow and icy water around them, how are they going to finagle their way out of this one?
We’ll let you learn that for yourselves when the season six premiere drops on April 24, but we WILL let you in on a little secret: that clip of Dany being ushered into Vaes Dothrak (after being captured by the Dothraki at the end of season five) is NOT from the premiere episode. But if we had to guess, we’d wager it’s from episode two based on what we’ve seen so far. Needless to say, the Dothraki city doesn’t seem too keen to welcome their latest khaleesi.
And then there’s Cersei, ruminating on her past and all the death she’s seen thus farâin particular that of her mother. Driven to tears, Cersei is clearly dealing with the emotional reckoning that comes with losing 3 of your children in this clip …and having a life surrounded by death, as prophesied to her by that old witch we saw in the season five premiere flashback.
What do you think of the new clips thus far? Let us know in the comments below! And make sure to stay tuned to our red carpet coverage of the season six premiereâcoming soon to this here Nerdist dot com.
