1-Up Your Lights with a SUPER MARIO BROS. LEGO Lamp

You own superhero t-shirts, have an impressive sci-fi film collection, and maybe have a movie poster or two hanging on your walls – but are you ready to take your fandom to another level by incorporating it into your home decor? There are plenty of ways to geek up your house, and you can begin with lighting. This Super Mario Bros. themed LEGO lamp by Etsy seller Pugs ‘n Legos would be an incredible first purchase. It’s not the kind of light you want to tuck away in your basement game room either. It needs to be seen and admired. Just look:

Mario Bros. LEGO Lamp

Jamieson Pond, the owner of the Etsy shop, estimates he spent more than 40 hours constructing the night light. It features Mario and Luigi and some of the most recognizable symbols from the game like a 1-Up mushroom and a power-up star. Pond designed the lamp in such a way that it manages to look classy and chic which normally aren’t words I associate with LEGO bricks, but hey what do I know?

Because it’s made of LEGO pieces, the lamp clocks in at a sturdy ten pounds. It stands at 27.5 inches, and you can operate the LED light strip inside with a remote. You can get super fancy and change the colors of the LED, alter the brightness, or program a color-changing sequence. And yes, you can and should show it off to everyone who enters your home for the first time.

Watch all the different lighting effects in Pond’s video:

Remember how I mentioned it took the builder dozens of hours to make? That craftsmanship is reflected in the price: the Super Mario Bros. lamp costs $2,200. If that’s out of your budget there are some less expensive options in the shop that are just as impressive.
