Are you gearing up for the release of Street Fighter V? You better be, because Capcom has just revealed that Zangief (AKA Red Cyclone) will be gracing us with his presence. You know, he’s the hairy-chested, Hulk-like Russian grappler dude from Street Fighter II, Street Fighter Alpha II and III, and Street Fighter IV. The guy who owns his super human strength by exclaiming, ‘my body is invincible.’

And yeah, he’s not wrong. Staying true to form, Zanglief will be taking every opportunity to show off all his skills and tricks in SFV. These include the famous body slams, suplexes and pile drivers, the new V-skill, Iron Muscle, and V-trigger, Cyclone Lariat. When Iron Muscle is activated, Zangief can show the true power of his body by absorbing one attack which leaves him with recoverable health. Cyclone Lariat allows him to spin his body at a high velocity, like a cyclone, as he pulls his opponent in closer and gains multiple hits.

Zangief is one of the most popular Street Fighter characters, due to his menacing appearance and unmatched raw strength. And you know, I feel like there’ll be more new skills and tactics in store for this muscle man, but you’ll just have to wait and find out. Street Fighter V will be released in March 2016 on PC and PS4, and stay tuned for the final three character reveals!
