Your Handy Schedule Of Guests For “The Nerdist”

Hey, you wanna know who’s gonna be on The Nerdist, Saturday nights at 10/9c on BBC America (and Sundays 7/6c/4p on Space in Canada) this season? You’ve already seen the first episode with Dominic Monaghan, Tatiana Maslany, and via special semi-robotic technology, Matt Smith, and the second with Robert Kirkman, Michael Rooker, Kyle Kinane, and a zombified Karen Gillan. But the rest of the season is packed with even more great guests.

Take a look:

Date Guests Comic
April 13 Jon Hamm, Betsy Brandt, Arthur Darvill Rory Scovel
April 20 Elijah Wood, Ben Schwartz, Kumail Nanjiani Katie Crown
April 27 Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Gillian Jacobs Paul Scheer and Rob Huebel
May 4 Jack McBrayer, Eliza Dushku Joe Keckler
May 11 Buzz Aldrin, Bobak Ferdowsi Maria Bamford
May 18 Joe Manganiello, Morena Baccarin Paul F. Tompkins
May 25 Guillermo del Toro, Katee Sackhoff Ron Funches
June 1 Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Zach Galifianakis Natasha Leggero

Pretty excellent. Plus, you’ll see all sorts of hilarious segments with even more celebrities, but you’ll just have to watch and see who pops up. We’re sneaky that way. Anyway, you know where to find The Nerdist, and you can probably recite this by heart now: Saturday nights at 10/9c on BBC America, right after new episodes of Doctor Who and Orphan Black as part of Supernatural Saturdays. And in Canada on Space, Sundays at 7/6c/4p. There you go.

  1. Kate says:

Does anyone know who the comedian from April 6th was?

  2. KGForce says:

The wife and I just watched the first episode. We liked it, but my wife was super-annoyed by the laugh track. Once she pointed it out, I had to agree.

  3. Teddy says:

Watched the first episode, and while I loved the content, I had to stop watching because of that HORRIBLE laugh track. Chris, if you’re reading this, will every episode this season have the same laugh track? What made you guys go with it instead of just going with the audience laugh?

  4. Scrib says:

The comic for Arthur Darville’s episode is named “Rory”? Nice.

Eek. Paul Scheer. Not sure why, but I can’t stand that dude. Of course, for Joseph Gordon-Levitt (talk about Hit Record!) and Gillian Jacobs I could put up with Emo. 😉

  5. M.J. says:

Ummm, seems to be a disproportionate amount of female guests than the many male. Many of whom you’ve had on The Talking Dead, which is fantastic, but can I look forward to more females(my gender) or is this going to be a true Nerd Show as portrayed in The Big Bang Theory where guys hang with guys cause they’re awkward with gals? On that show it’s hilarious. Course I don’t include you Chris in that category… you’re a cutie-patootie & funny to boot! Looking forward to catching The Nerdist every Sunday on “Space” til The Walking Dead returns for it’s 4th season, & TTD right afterwards. 😉

  6. Abby says:

WOW!!! The quality (and quantity) of guests lined up made the happy section in my head spike. Thank goodness I took my seizure meds, so no blank stare at the computer this time.

  7. Eva says:

I believe your link to buy tickets to the show for 19, April is bad

  8. rhzunam says:

How could you not have Kumail Nanjiani on the same day that you have Eliza Dushku? Either Emily got to you guys or you have no heart.

  9. PoddSocks says:

personally looking forward to May 18th. Joe Manganiello & Morena Baccarin together on screen? Might have to start shipping that coupling, they would make some fine babies.

Elijah Wood should also be good.

  10. corran says:

How can we watch this in the UK? We miss out on a lot of Nerdist stuff around here, don’t we Tony?

(moving finger to speak like Tony) That’s right, Danny.

    Actually my name’s Corran.

(as Tony) No it’s not, Danny.

Uh, yeah I’m pretty sure it…

(as Tony) We’ll see about that, Danny. We’ll see about that.

  11. theredninjaza says:

What is going on herrrrre? O_o

  12. Darryl Hamilton says:

  13. nitecraller says:

Can’t wait to see the interaction between Buzz Aldrin and Matt. I’m sure they’ve got a fun activity set up for those two.

  14. Joel says:

Holy buckets the guest list is great but that list of Comedians is bonkers and Kyle Kinane last night, come on. You guys put on a show that is fun to watch Thank you

  15. Ryan K says:

I remember my first HTML table…

  16. Brian Le says:

June 1st is gonna be epic

  17. Nick says:

Being one of the few Nerdist fans who doesn’t care for Dr. Who, I was kind of disappointed with the first episode. But last night’s episode was fantastic, and I’m looking forward to pretty much all of these guests. These guests look great!

  18. C swan says:

When are you going to put your bud from aots Kevin perera ,you guys were hilarious !!!!!

  19. nitecraller says:

That’s a very impressive line-up good sir! I don’t receive BBC America so i can’t watch live, but i’ve purchased every episode (from last season) and the first episode those season on iTunes! Keep it up guys.

(Only gripe: I miss Jetpack Blues, Sunset Hues)
