Young Chris Pratt Shows off His Art Skills in Restaurant Mural

Before he was Star-Lord, before he was Andy Dwyer, heck before he was Bright from Everwood, Chris Pratt was quite the artist. In a gallery posted on Imgur, we have proof that Chris was ready to express himself even at an early age.

Growing up in Lake Stevens, WA, the parents of one of his best friends ran a pizza restaurant in nearby Granite Falls (Omega Pizza and Pasta). Having already done a mural for his high school’s weight room, he was asked to do another mural for the restaurant, and the above photo was the result.

It is a Greek scene, but the most noticeable thing about it is in the bottom right had corner: Chris’ signature in big red letters. The restaurant also has framed within the mural the 2003 issue of TeenPeople where Chris talks about the painting. The pictures below give a closer look at the article. Little did he know that a decade later he would be one of the most popular movie stars in the world.

Article and Signature

There’s no mention if Chris was paid for the mural, but with the track record he has for charity in the Seattle area, it would not surprise me if he did it for free.

You can currently see Chris in Jurassic World, in theaters now.

So what do you think? Should Chris have gone the brush and canvas route, or was acting the better way to express his art? Let me know on Twitter or in the comments below.
