Larry Miller

You Made It Weird #35: Larry Miller

Larry Miller (Seinfeld, Christopher Guest’s movies, comedy) comes by and makes it both delightful (another wonderful happily married man to join the ranks of Greg Fitzsimmons and Gaffigan before him!) and weird. This episode made Pete happy inside. He hopes it does the same for you, weirdos!!

this was great, Larry Miller, what a guy

  2. Bonnie says:

What did Larry Miller say to the guy in the Disney costume?!? He never finished the story and it’s been keeping me up at night. Please, please, please, could we get an update on this during a future episode?

Love the show! It’s always a great listen!

I love this podcast and I think this was by far my favorite episode to date. Larry Miller was great in the Christopher Guest movies and I think he and Pete Holmes have a great dynamic together. I hope he is they bring him back as a guest soon.

And BTW the God part of the episodes is always my favorite.

  7. Julia Hays says:

I have a special place in my heart for Larry Miller, and everyone else who appeared on my favorite show of all time… Seinfeld! Though I did enjoy hearing about his work, for me the gold of this episode was the second half, listening to Larry talk about his life philosophy. He could not have been more of a joyful guest. This episode put a huge smile on my face.

  8. Josh says:

Holy cow! Larry Miller is the coolest ever! Loved so much of what he said!

BTW, how great to hear a guy fascinated with his craft, and not fascinated with why he’s fascinated with his craft! It’s like Marc Maron is one mountain, and Larry Miller is the other. Choose one and become the hilarious but cynical embodiment of self-concern and disappointment, the perfect emotional artist. Choose the other and become a comedy monk, the pure craftsman, a selfless servant of the art itself. Which will you choose, Pete? Which will you choose?

What a weird story arc for a podcast. I’m talking e before i weird. Awesomely weird.

Keep it up, man! I’m hooked!

  9. Peter says:

a glorious episode! Larry Miller is a national treasure.

  10. I’m beyond happy to get more Larry Miller!!!! <3 I'm over the moon to know that I'll be listening to him on my way home today!!

  11. Matt says:

    LARRY MILLER DROPPING FUCKING BOMBS

  12. Tim says:

Fantastic episode Pete! Loved every minute of it. I’m going to be telling the ‘let me finish’ joke for a long time coming.

    Keep it crispy!

  13. pbnews says:

If you look at the photo closely, you can tell that Larry Miller is starting to lose his hair a little bit…

  14. Gene says:

Thank you, Larry Miller, for finally saying what I’ve been wanting to hear one of these comedians say about God: that you don’t have to subscribe to one of the structured religions of our planet, or even claim to know the truth, to believe that SOMETHING is there.
