I like having discussions with people about religion, however all the people I try to talk to who believe, only get defensive and offended when I try to talk to them. It makes me sad…I would LOVE to sit down with Bazan or Peetie Pants and just chat.
Really enjoy the show! I am actually a Christian but my main hobby is reading books and listening to podcasts and videos that disagree with my worldview so I can challenge my own beliefs! You ask all the right questions and dig deep and I like that. Thanks for doing what you do and getting people to investigate these things for themselves!
I don’t know what’s going on but I can’t listen to a full episode anymore. My computer just goes silent while I’m listening and makes me press play again. When I do I’m back at zero. When I find my place, I get a few moments of the podcast before I get stuck again. I’ve tried downloading it but the same thing happens. I’ve been having this problem for the last 3-4 weeks….it’s so annoying! Any advice? This podcast works on my work computer, but I don’t want to listen at work….I want to listen at home! baaahhhhh. I haven’t tried on my smart phone but that’s a last resort…..
Had you told me it’s an episode with a non-comedian talking about christianity the whole time I’d have thought “Booo, passs!” But this was very authentic, very insightful. I really really enjoyed this one.
YO petey… i would love to see Kyle Mooney on the show. He is absolutely hilarious and i feel like you guys would get along quite nicely.
What a crispy conversation! I too believe that the arc of history bends toward justice. It’s such a shame that the road is so bumpy along the way…
Faith journies are always so interesting. When is falling away more like coming back? When is coming back more like falling away? All we ever get are momentary stays against confusion, and then it’s straight back to questioning. Makes life hard. And wondrous.

I stole fake laugh to real laugh and I play it with my kids all the time. It’s one of their favorite games. We just end up laughing like idiots for 5 minutes, it’s amazing. So glad you did this with Bazan.

I tried really hard to like it but I have zero interest in the hashing out of Christianity. Can’t wait to see what Friday brings!

I can’t help but feel about 2% responsible for this episode happening.
I left a comment on Episode #201 on May 15th, 2014 saying something along the lines of “If you haven’t listened to David Bazan, you need to. … Super, super interesting guy who would be a great guest on YMIW”
It’s very likely neither Pete nor KT saw that post but I’m going to go ahead and green-light myself feeling like a valuable human for once.
