You Made It Weird #17: Eugene Mirman

Lexington High School alumni (alumnis?) Pete and Eugene (Bob’s Burgers, Delocated, comedy) get weird covering, amongst other things, why you could possibly yell “LEGEND!” at Eugene next time you see him, but probably shouldn’t.

  1. AK says:

Just looked up that Taco Bell 666 thing and thats stupid as hell..grasping at (imaginary) straws

  2. Tillburg says:

I immediately went to listen to the ding-ding song after this ended. Good work Eugene keep it up!

  3. Oprah says:

    What a dim wit.

  4. GTU says:

    I’m from Danvers.

Thanks for the shout out Pete and Eugene. Even though you have no idea where we are. Perhaps ask fellow comedian Nick DiPaolo

  5. Melanie Again says:

“Can you please not play the flute while you’re driving me to the airport?!” XD
Eugene – “I was a nerd in terms of the fact that I was a social failure, but I wasn’t good at school.” LOL
I think Pete Holmes’s laugh has to be the best thing in the universe.
Pete – “I’m always interested in ‘sex’ – we call it that for lack of a better term – which would probably be ‘relationships’.” X’D

  6. Action says:

Maybe when he was younger he looked like a character/goblin from Legend?

  7. Julia Hays says:

I was just listening to Eugene’s God Is a Twelve-Year-Old Boy with Asperger’s a few days ago. He is, indeed, LEGEND.

  8. onReload says:

It’s funny because I remember being called odd things by older kids, and then in turn, I remember getting older, and we’d end up doing that to kids we found kind of odd in school…It was never really meant to be “mean” but it definitely doesn’t help one’s self-esteem. It makes total sense to me that Eugene was kind of a weird kid.

Dammit I need to go to one of his shows soon

  9. Kass says:

This episode resulted in A LOT of headphone-wearing laughter. And it totally got weird. I did not expect 9/11 conspiracies. At all.

    LEGEND!

  10. richie says:

that was a lovely maniacal laugh at the end, lovely indeed

  11. Roger Clendening II says:

    Singular female student: alumnA
    Multiple female students: alumnAE
    Singular male student: alumnUS
    Multiple male students: alumnI
(When the group is of mixed genders, the male form “-I” is used.)
So, in this case, “alumni” would be correct because it is already plural. Ain’t no such’n thing as “alumniS,” except possibly in Klingon.

  12. Dominik says:

I promise you a lot of paperwork.

Oh man. I love you guys.

  13. Rodrigo says:

    SHWAAA?!?
One of my favorite comedians ever, started listening to the startalk podcast because ofEugene!
