It’s been four long years since last we got a dose of Hiccup and his dragon buddy Toothless. Now, with critical acclaim and a TV series under its belt, it’s finally time to dive back into the viking world of Berk in How to Train Your Dragon 2, and we have the first five minutes of the sequel for you to enjoy:
Dragon racing, skydiving, map writing… this certainly appears to be one of the most dynamic follow-ups ever made to an animated film. It’s really cool to see the way Berk has expanded since the last film, and one must wonder what kind of treachery could ruin this seemingly perfect oasis of dragon/viking harmony.
How To Train Your Dragon 2 opens in theaters June 13th.
I’m glad Dreamworks is treating this franchise well. It’s the only thing they’ve produced that I’ve got any affection for. Do wish they hadn’t spoiled like the ENTIRE PLOT of the movie, including the BIG SECRET REVEAL, in the late trailer though. o_O
