Xbox One Gets a Price Cut for the Holidays

If you’ve been waiting to pick up an Xbox One, it may finally be time to shatter the piggy bank. From November 2nd of this year to through January 3rd, 2015, players can pick up one of several Xbox One SKUs for $50 less in the United States. The Kinect-less Xbox One, the special edition Sunset Overdrive bundle, and the Assassin’s Creed bundle will run you $349 over the course of the next couple of months. For those with a little more to spend, the Assassin’s Creed bundle with Kinect, and the limited edition Xbox One bundle will cost you $449. This is essentially a Black Friday deal that’s being offered early, and for the rest of the year.

It looks like the war between the big three to move units off of store shelves is getting even more competitive as we move deeper into the holiday season. Nintendo’s already got Bayonetta 2, Hyrule Warriors, and Super Smash Bros. Wii U winning folks over left and right. Microsoft’s price cut is sure to turn many heads, especially since it’s happening right around the release of their big new IP Sunset Overdrive and well in time for Master Chief Collection. Most importantly, however, is the fact that the Xbox One is now priced lower than the PlayStation 4, which was arguably one of the biggest edges the PS4 had during its first year on the market against the Xbox One. Your move Sony!

Is the Xbox One price drop enough to get you to pick one up this holiday? Jump in and leave your thoughts in the comments below.
