Don’t fret about the giant evil robots or getting your cat out of that very high tree because Hulu‘s new superhero animated series, The Awesomes, has arrived! Created by SNL‘s Seth Meyers and Mike Shoemaker, the series follows a once-lauded team of the greatest heroes on Earth now consisting of second-rate supers and has-beens.

Meyers stars as Professor Doctor Awesome, or “Prock” for short, the son of the team’s founder, Mr. Awesome, who has come to assume the role of leader just as every other member of the team quits. He’s forced to recruit some people who maybe aren’t the most qualified, and some who definitely aren’t. The show features the voice talents of SNL‘s Taran Killam, Paula Pell, and Kenan Thompson and MADtv‘s Ike Barinholtz, Bobby Lee, and Josh Meyers.
