It seems almost unthinkable that Jim Henson’s Fraggle Rock, his landmark children’s program about several different species living underground and in worlds beyond, could be turning 30 this year. Lasting four seasons and 96 episodes (not to mention an animated spinoff) in the mid-’80s, the adventures of Gobo, Mokey, Wembley, Boober, and Red are still very much in the minds of people young and old alike. Who doesn’t know to dance their cares away? Now, you can relive all the wonder and excitement with the Fraggle Rock 30th Anniversary Collection on DVD.
Carefree Fraggles, dutiful Doozers, clueless Gords, and a puppet dog named Sprocket are all in the set, as is that great explorer Travelling Matt with his mighty mustache. The set includes all 96 episodes, two full discs of special features, a new comic book adventure, and a Red Fraggle mini-plush. Wanna know the best part? We’re giving one away! All you have to do is enter our contest and wait. You can even head to our Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ pages to get yourself extra chances to win. Make sure you enter by midnight on May 21st, though, or no amount of dancing will take away the worry of missing out.
And, of course, you should check out Ben Folds Five’s video for “Do It Anyway” featuring the Fraggles (and Chris Hardwick). There might also be more Fragglicious fun coming soon on the Nerdist Channel…
