Where, oh where did our Pokémon go? Niantic’s Pokémon Go may have been the mobile gaming sensation of the summer, but it’s bleeding users over a variety of issues with the game itself. It’s almost as if fans don’t like it when the most popular features are removed and the glitches outnumber the Pidgeys. How are we supposed to be the best and catch ’em all if we can’t even properly track them? Niantic has acknowledged these complaints with a new round of Pokémon Go updates, but will it be enough to revive interest in the game? Today’s Nerdist News has our Pokéballs out to find the answers!
Nerdist News host and gym conqueror Jessica Chobot has the intel about Pokémon Go‘s newest additions, including Pokémon Go Plus, the stand-alone bracelet that lets users track Pokémon without burying their heads in their phones at all times. You can even catch those adorable pocket monsters without touching your phone! Now, that’s progress. But for the truly hardcore, we’re thinking that the new Apple and Smartwatch compatibility could be a  â pardon the expression  â game changer.
Another feature that we’re intrigued by is the new Buddy system that will allow players to essentially pick their favorite Pokémon to be their constant companion as they track down other creatures and rack up more of those special Pokémon specific candies that may even help bring in some of the rarest ones of them all.
