The doctor wont be female he will regenerate into the vailyard

  2. Bill says:

My pick for a woman Doctor would be… Katherine Parkinson

  3. WHO says:

The Doctor should never be female. Not because I’m a sexist, but because (whether it is right or wrong) its needs to stay true to the cannon

  4. danllson says:

Moffat is very quickly becoming like George Lucas who single handedly destroyed his own Star Wars franchise, because he messed around with it too much. I’ve no personal problem with the Doctor as a woman, but is it necessary? I feel he’s turning the show into his own sounding board, and its ruining the epic legacy that was laid down before him. This isn’t Moffat’s show to play with. This is more than just a show he’s producing, its a fan based world that he needs to respect. He’s already changed so much with Capaldi as a heartless and uncaring Doctor. Don’t make more unnecessary changes!

  5. Mary says:

I, for one, will never accept a female Doctor.  I’ve been watching far too long for that.  It would be sad, but I’m afraid I’m one who would definitely stop watching if that happened.  Besides I really like Capaldi.  And talking about another Doctor so soon is insulting to him, in my opinion.  I know, I know, but this is just MY opinion

  6. Andrew says:

So I haven’t caught up with the latest season of Doctor Who. SPOILER ALERTS CHOBOT! I AM DEVASTATED! WHAT IS MY REASON FOR EXISISTING?!?? Love your show 🙂

  7. Paul says:

Dame Helen Mirren, need I say more.

  8. Sparcanist says:

Yeaaah, not down for this. This push to feminize everything is lazy and unnecessary. Not to mention ultimately harmful. Let’s take an already popular thing and make it female? Why? Because you absolutely lack the imagination to make a decent female character? I’m not a fan of pandering, and I’d quit watching this show for sure. It’s kind of gone to crap lately anyways though, so not much of a loss there.

Not to even mention the astounding lack of capable intelligent role models for young males. I’m really tired of us being relegated to basement dwellers or macho guardians.

  9. Koda says:

As it has been said in the comments below, why should the Doctor be female? Yes, it would make the show become more feminist ‘friendly’ by giving a female the main character in one of the biggest sci-fi TV show’s of all time, but on the other hand, many of the main companions have been female and they’ve been amazing throughout the show. Also, would it not be a little weird if The Doctor were to regenerate into a woman as he’s married to River? (I’m not against any form of sexuality at all). Overall, I think it would be great if The Doctor became a woman, but it would complicate too many things that The Doctor’s done in the past that are still carried on to this day.

  10. MJS says:

Make it a female doctor. Then get Melvin Udall to run and write it, removing the Doctor’s two strongest characteristics. He can take away “reason and accountability”.  Now that’s as good as it gets.

  11. Ian says:

I think a fair thing to say and what another person pointed out. Young boys don’t have much in the way of intelligent role models who use brain over brawn. This is someone elses argument by the way. I just think it is a fair thing to point out. We need to realize that and think is it right to pretty much take away a role model

  12. Ian says:

No it is lazy writing to just switch genders for no good reason. Thea you moronic child.

  13. luisp says:

I also don’t understand the “need” for feminzing the show, and their criticism of the ladies in the show feels off, do we not love River for who she is? and wasn’t so much fun with Amy?

  14. Sarah says:

    Did you consider Claudia Black?

  15. Mer says:

Seriously the hoodie Master was not the Master, Missy has much more of an Anthony Ainley feel about her and I love it.
