When WARCRAFT Meets Capture the Flag, Everyone Wins

On June 10, theaters across the country will be invaded by Hordes of Orc warriors and Human armies as Warcraft makes its debut. The Duncan Jones-directed film brings the wild world of Azeroth to the big screen for the first time in the mega-popular game franchise’s 22 year existence. Like many fans across the world, I have been waiting for this day ever since I first led the armies of man into battle against the likes of Gul’dan and Orgrim Doomhammer. While many of us have dreamed of reenacting Warcraft in real life, it’s probably a bit too dangerous. So, we opted for the next best thing: capture the flag. Since time immemorial, capture the flag has served as the greatest substitute for bloodsport known to man, and alongside some of YouTube’s best and brightest creators, I waged glorious battle using sacks full of colored powder.

Just as the Vikings dreamed of dying in combat to go to Valhalla, so did we dream of achieving such glory in the Capture the Flag arena. We lost a lot of good content creators out there, but at the end of the day, it was worth it.

Who will win and be immortalized in bardly song? Who will taste the bitter elixir of defeat? Did it take me 2.5 showers worth of scrubbing just to finally get all the paint off my body? You’ll just have to watch and find out.

Warcraft opens on June 10, 2016.
