Get ready to swing giant purple… playthings. Microsoft’s May Games With Gold is bringing Saints Row: The Third for free to the Xbox 360.
If you haven’t had a chance to play the wildly fantastic open world game where shooting people in the face with an octopus gun is one the least crazy things you’ll do, you need to pick it up when it becomes free to Xbox Live Gold Members beginning May 16th. Until then, you can pick up action role-playing game Dust: An Elysian Tail now through May 15th. Still no word yet on when the Xbox One will get to join in on the awesome freebies.
Sony, as per usual, is delivering free content to the PS3, PS4, and the PS Vita. Stick it to the Man! brings its own bit of wackiness to PS Plus members on the PS4. The humorous platforming adventure game is about a guy who wakes up from a coma with a giant pink spaghetti arm sticking out of his brain that gives him extraordinary mind-reading powers. Yeah, wacky sounds about right, especially since the game’s dialogue is written by an Adventure Time vet.
PS3 Plus members will be treated with the side-scrolling platformer Puppeteer, 2D fighting game Skullgirls Encore (the edition that features extra content), and Pro Evolution Soccer 2014. And finally, the PS Vita gets some love as well with the electric puzzler Surge Deluxe and Limbo.
