Cozy up next to your consoles this month, because April showers consist of some awesome free games for your heat-radiating hardware, including the side scrolling shooter, Mercenary Kings, which makes its console debut.
Xbox 360 Gold members are greeted with the stealth shooter Hitman: Absolution and zombie platformer Deadlight for free this month; Absolution free now until the 15th, Deadlight from April 16th-30th.
And while Xbox One members are still missing out on the XBL Gold freebies until later this year, PlayStation 4 Plus members score a free copy of the frantic 2D action game Mercenary Kings, which is now making its present on a console for the first time. This is some big news for the title about warriors-for-hire, considering it started as a Kickstarter project in 2012. PlayStation 3 players aren’t missing out on the freebies either; they’re treated to Batman Arkham City.
Are these games impressive enough for players who pay for an online subscription fee? What games do you want to see in the future? Let us know in the comments below.
Lol @ spidey. Microsoft is basically trying to pass off two games a month as a competition to sonys instant game library. Because two games on a previous gen console are better than multiple free games across two consoles and a handheld. Gg microsoft, you totally suck at the catching up game.
Right after you buy a PS4.
So, when ARE those of us with the One gonna see some free games?
