What You Missed By Not Playing MINECRAFT

First and foremost, how have you not played Minecraft yet? It is literally everywhere: computers, home consoles, handhelds, tablets, and even cell phones. It is such a large part of pop culture that Microsoft saw fit to purchase Mojang (creators of Minecraft) for an astounding  $2.5 billion. You can literally purchase an NBA franchise for less money than that. Just ask former Microsoft chief executive officer Steve Balmer, who purchased the Los Angeles Clippers for about 2 billion dollars. We are talking big money here.  I digress; allow us to introduce you to the world that is Minecraft in our latest episode of What You Missed By Not Playing. Ignore the previous sentiments if you have played the game before and enjoy the video anyways. Warning! We spoil everything.

Minecraft is essentially a large virtual LEGO set, minus the LEGO. It is an open world made up of dated-looking graphics, where you must punch wood, dig up dirt blocks, mine coal, build houses, and it is all incredible. Casual fans of the title do not realize that there is an endgame that requires a good amount of leg work to complete. What makes this game in particular so special is that the experience can be anything you want it to be. Different modes allow all types of play styles, whether you want to survive through harsh nights, build the largest house, or compete with friends, Minecraft has the versatility to provide those joys. It turns grown adults into children again.

Enjoy the video above and if you are looking to play the game, it is pretty much on any platform of your choosing, except for Nintendo consoles. Other than that, we highly suggest you go play the game and let your imagination run rampant. If you liked this video, make sure to check out other episodes in our What You Missed By Not Playing series for more spoiler-filled recaps. You won’t be disappointed. Make sure to build yourself a ladder to the comments section below and let us know what other games you’d like to be spoiled. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go back to playing Minecraft on my Vita.
